Ingredients

1 lb. hamburger, cooked and drained

½ onion, chopped

3-4 potatoes, cut up

1 bag baby carrots (or regular carrots chopped up)

1 quart (4 cups) tomato juice (I use 2 12oz. cans)

3 cups water

Salt to taste

Pepper to taste

Directions

Bring all ingredients to a boil on stove top. Turn down to a simmer until potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally. You can substitute tomato sauce and seasonings for the tomato juice.

This is a relatively easy soup to make and is so delicious on a cold day. The ingredients are cheap, and the soup tastes great! Serve with bread sticks!
